Divers to help keep sea clean
Divers will be doing their bit to help keep the sea clean at Elbow Beach.
A clean-up day has been set up for tomorrow to ensure the beach and water remain a pristine natural environment for Bermudians and visitors.
The event will begin next to Mickey's restaurant, at 1.45 p.m. Blue Water Divers, which is organising it, will provide dive tanks, weights and equipment for underwater cleaning. Water and soft drinks will be available, with light refreshments provided at Mickey's.
Diver instructor and organiser Andrina Bindon said: "This event has previously proved to be fun and rewarding. It's a good reason to spend an afternoon on the beach and in the water to protect and preserve the beautiful environment around Bermuda."
Frank Stocek, general manager at Elbow Beach, said: "Our beach is one of our most important assets. We are looking forward to supporting this initiative from our dive shop partners and are excited to enhance the beauty of our beach with further care."
