Restaurant tries al fresco
customers close to traffic has received planning permission.
The Development Applications Board has given planning permission to the Little Venice Restaurant on Bermudiana Road for an outside dining area.
When contacted last month, manager Costanzo DiMeglio said he hoped to start the new service by mid May.
"We already have a licence for dining outside, right now we are waiting on a liquor licence and to build a wooden deck for the tables,'' he said. The six-foot deck will be constructed over the side walk, Mr. DiMeglio explained.
"We have permission to build on three parking spaces,'' he said. "Here we will put a six foot wooden deck and this will be the al fresco area. It's an experiment, we will see how it goes, if the customers like it, people will need to get used to the idea.''
