received a six month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months.

Richard Michael Dill, of Hog Bay Level, Sandys Parish, pleaded guilty to the charge in Magistrates' Court.

Prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Dill stole $8 from Mr. Dennis Burgess in a Hamilton car park bathroom on March 20.

Mr. Burgess went to use the toilet and was approached by Dill who asked him for some money, Sgt. Grant said.

When Burgess refused, Dill reached into Burgess' pocket and pulled out some money which caused Burgess to fall into a toilet stall.

Dill was later arrested, but was admitted to St. Brendan's Hospital for drug abuse rehabilitation, Sgt. Grant said.

After being released, Dill was interviewed by Police and the money was recovered.

Sgt. Grant told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis that Dill had a lengthy record of dishonesty and had been before the Court many times before.

Dill's counsellor, Mr. Alfred Lewis, explained Dill's rehabilitation process.

TEENS SUSSPET4ED OF STEALING CYCLE CTS Teens suspected of stealing cycle Police arrested two St. George's youths they caught riding on a stolen cycle yesterday morning.

The officers stopped the cycle shortly after 2 a.m. on Kindley Field Road and discovered it had been stolen.

Over the past weekend, Police also received reports of nine break-ins, nine cases of stealing, and 15 cycle thefts. They also responded to eight road traffic accidents, including two that involved injuries, and they arrested three drivers for impaired driving.

HOTEL ROONS BURGLED IN PAGET CRM Hotel rooms burgled in Paget Police are investigating several break-ins at visitor accommodations in Paget.

A bag containing credit cards, travel documents and other personal items was stolen from a room in a Paget hotel as the occupants slept.

Police said some of the property was recovered outside of the hotel by a member of the public and was handed over to hotel security.

A purse was stolen from another room in the same hotel. That was also recovered in the hotel grounds, minus an undisclosed amount of cash. In a separate incident, a visitor staying at a Paget guest house reported that someone broke into her room over the weekend and stole jewellery.

CHASE LEADS TO ARREST FOR DRUGS CRM Chase leads to arrest for drugs A lengthy foot chase by Police led to the arrest of a 31-year-old Pembroke man yesterday morning.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the man was arrested in Middletown in connection with drug offences.

The man was being searched by Police shortly after 2 a.m. on Curving Avenue when he bolted and ran in the direction of Middletown.

A Police officer chased him and eventually arrested him behind a school on Glebe Road.

Police inquiries into the incident were continuing.

MAN DENIES ASSAULTING POLICE OFFICER CTS Man denies assaulting Police officer A man who was arrested in front of his distraught three-year-old daughter, appeared in Magistrates' Court last week.

Gregory Wright, 37, of Warwick, denied using threatening behaviour, assaulting a Police officer, resisting arrest, and using an offensive weapon, a crash helmet.

The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred near the Little Lambe Nursery School on Dundonald Street on March 14.

The trial was set down for July 13 and 14 due to the number of witnesses.

Wright was released on $500 bail.
