incidents between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 1.15 p.m. on Tuesday, a handbag was taken from an unattended baby carriage in the Yankee Store.

The second bag, which contained cash and bank cards, was taken from the Head Office at Victor Scott Primary School on Glebe Road in Pembroke when it was left unattended between 2 p.m. and 3.15 p.m. on Tuesday.

The following morning saw the other two thefts occur.

A visiting woman's handbag, containing cash, credit cards, identification and personal items, was stolen from her livery cycle's storage compartment after she left her bike unattended at Astwood Park in Warwick between 10.30 a.m. and 10.45 a.m.

The bag was later recovered by Police near Warwick Playground with everything minus the cash.

And the other handbag, which contained credit cards, identification, cash and personal items, was removed from an unattended and unsecured vehicle parked on Salt Kettle Lane in Paget.

A Cobb's Hill Road, Paget man found a burglar in his home early Wednesday morning when he went to investigate noises coming from his kitchen.

The incident occurred at about 3.00 a.m.. A struggle ensued during which the resident suffered injuries to his nose and hand.

The intruder escaped with a knapsack of various articles of clothing.
