A 24-year-old Sandys man is facing a charge of causing the death of bartender Larry Reginald Eugene Thomas in April.
Roger Bowen, of Cambridge Road, was not required to enter a plea as the charge is indictable and must be held in Supreme Court.
It is alleged that on April 26, 2008, while in Sandys parish, Bowen caused Mr. Thomas' death, while his ability to drive was impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Mr. Thomas, a father, husband and popular bartender at Salt Rock Grill, became the eighth road fatality this year when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a van on Somerset Road near the junction with Tankard Lane at 3 a.m.
Bowen will appear back in court for mention on July 15. He was released on bail of $15,000.
