Simon Chadderton, building surveyor of Woodbourne Associates, yesterday said: "It is to be an extension to an existing structure.'' "An application had been submitted and approved ten years ago, and had been allowed to lapse.

"We are applying for in principle approval. No work has been done at this stage. There are no drawings or blueprints at this time. However, there is an outline drawing that has to be submitted for an in principle application.

"We are simply re-submitting the application to Planning for an in principle approval.'' Raj Tolaram would not comment on the proposed building.
