The Bermuda Monetary Authority said that as of December 20 the total amount that was issued and in the hands of the general public or the banks was $63,773,899. The figure was $57,644,099 last year.

Notes and coins issued during the first three weeks of December totalled $6,931,340, a 12.1 percent increase over last year.
