Arguably the most famous economic commentator in the world, Dr. Alan Greenspan visits Bermuda today as a keynote speaker for a hedge fund conference taking place at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel.

The former Federal Reserve chairman will address hundreds of delegates this afternoon at the 14th Annual MARHedge Global Hedge Fund Summit, however, his words will be spoken out of earshot of the media.

Dr. Greenspan was appointed Fed chairman by the late US president Ronald Reagan in 1987 and stayed in the post until last year, serving four presidents.

He is currently promoting his memoirs 'The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World'.
