Rhodes scholar named

Miss Bermingham, the daughter of Det. Supt. Andrew Bermingham and his wife, Jane, is employed by the Advisory Board Company in Washington DC where she is involved in research projects relating to banking issues.
The 22-year-old plans to read for a BA in jurisprudence at Oxford.
Miss Bermingham, who was awarded an Honours BA (Magna Cum Laude) after successfully completing a degree in applied mathematics/economics at Brown University, also obtained a GPA (grade point average) of 4.0 during her one year term at the Bermuda College.
She was previously a student at Warwick Academy, where she received 12 GCE `O' Levels.
While at Brown, Miss Bermingham was involved with university boards and student groups.
She was also active in various extra-curricular activities and received praise for leadership ability.
