The post office in Flatts will be closed until next Thursday because of staff shortages, the Government said yesterday.

The spokeswoman confirmed that the office had been shut down since Monday because of staff shortages.

She said: “Residents and businesses in the Flatts area who have mail with FL postal codes should visit Devonshire Post Office to collect any letter mail.”

The spokeswoman added: “Parcel mail will be available when the Flatts post office reopens.”

She added that post office box access at Flatts was unaffected.

The spokeswoman said: “The Bermuda Post Office apologises for any inconvenience caused to residents and businesses in the Flatts area and thanks them for their co-operation and understanding.“
