Tomorrow, the National Tennis Stadium will be the venue for an effort to unite the Island through peace and tolerance.

Global Arts Entertainment and Friends of the United Nations are working together in partnership to host the Peace and Tolerance Family Fun Day and Non-Violence Concert and Night Fair to promote peace throughout the community.

Yesterday, Friends of the United Nations representative, Sarah Fellows and Global Arts Entertainment CEO, Andrew Philips, announced the event which will feature fair games, rides and fun castles for the Family Fun Day and night games and music for the evening's event.

"The Global Arts team keeping with the United Nations Peace and Tolerance Non-Violence decade has gone to the core of recent violence on the Island," Ms Fellows said about the festivities.

Tekle Mallory's sister, Miriam Smith, joined Mr. Phillips and Ms Fellows to announce the day. Ms Fellows had also been in personal contact with the families of both Shaundae Jones and Red Pitcher. All of the families had been victims of violence and had lost a family member.

"Ms Smith said she was a representative for families who have been victims of crimes committed in Bermuda.

Along with the games and festivities, approximately 200 children will be involved in playing tennis.

"With the tennis community showcasing the sport and His Excellency the Governor, who has also given support, I understand he has been practising for his match against Baha and Rebel Maybury," Ms Fellows said.

A Peace and Tolerance Clash between Bermuda and the United States will be part of the main even that evening. Bermuda's D.J. Rodigun and Kaos & Jugglin Jason will battle Jus D.J and King Lech Out from the US

The Family Fun Day is free and the evening is $20 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at 27th Century and Dub City.
