Police have no new leads but are continuing to ?actively investigate? a horrific gang rape committed against a 24-year-old English woman in June.

Over six weeks ago, it was reported that the rape victim got into a car on Bermudiana Road opposite the Splash nightclub before being driven off to a western parish where Police said she was sexually assaulted.

?There is still an active Police investigation into an allegation of serious sexual assault that took place in the western parishes on June 18,? Police Media Spokesman Dwayne Caines said yesterday. ?Police are following active lines of inquiry.?

Mr. Caines would not comment on whether DNA evidence was being sought from four black men aged 18-25, considered to be suspects in the case.

Neither would he say whether a taxi driver who picked up the woman in the western parishes and took her home had come forward.
