Bailed man bolts from Police
A man on bail bolted after he reported to a Police Station and was told he was going to be arrested, Magistrates' Court heard yesterday.
Kyle Justin Tannock, 21, said "that's not why I came in here" after being told at St. George's Police Station that he was going to be arrested on another matter.
Tannock, of Slippery Hill, St. George's then turned around and ran out of the Police station, Crown counsel Charmaine Smith told the court.
Later the same day he turned himself in to St. George's Police after receiving advice from his lawyer Larry Mussenden.
Mr. Mussenden asked after his client was re-set bail: "Where is the Police Station anyway?
"Which Police station should he report to? I don't want him to go to the one in St. David's and be told to go to the one in St. George's and then get caught in the middle."
Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves released Tannock on $950 bail with a surety for trial on June 4.
