Extension makes sense
June 7, 2011Dear Sir,I concur with Minister Wayne Perinchief's extension of time limits for visiting yachtsmen coming to our Islands. The way I see it, families of these yachting fraternity can come to Bermuda as tourists (some can live on their yachts) others may use our local hotels, or guest houses. Instead of these yachts having to move on to other ports these yachting people could stay here during our “hurricane season” and return southwards after the hurricane season is over. We have our local marine companies who can take care of any marine needs of these yachting people; shops especially, in St George's can prosper a little bit better, and it will also help the Corporation of St George's tremendously. Again, I say thank you to Minister Perinchief for making longer “time limits” for our visiting yachting fraternity.PETER BROMBY SrPaget
