Bermudian Rhondell Tankard is still missing, four days after the World Trade Centre bombing on September 11.

That is the official word from a local executive at Aon Insurance Managers Ltd, Paul Markey.

Mr. Markey noted that the company is utilising all resources to find Ms Tankard and an estimated 1,100 other employees.

He noted that the company's chief executive officer issued a statement about the status of the search.

"As of the afternoon of September 12, the vast majority of our Aon colleagues who worked at the World Trade Centre or who had travelled there on business have been reported safe," Aon Corporation Chairman and CEO Patrick G Ryan said. "We are deeply relieved to know that the number of confirmed survivors is growing and we continue to hope and pray that we will find even more of our Aon family safe.

"Aon employees at the command centre in Glenview, Illinois continue to work around the clock to contact New York-based employees and their families in an effort to account for all of our employees."

However, there is no confirmed word yet on Ms Tankard.

She travelled to New York last Saturday to begin a training course with Aon in the World Trade Centre Tower Number Two.

Mr. Ryan said: "Our first concern is for their safety and well being. The amount of information that we have is still limited due to the scope of this tragedy; however, we will try to provide updates as quickly as news becomes available."
