Man beaten, asks Police not to investigate
Six robbers attacked a 35-year-old man at a club — hitting him with crash helmets until he lay on the ground with blood running from his face.
The victim's cell phone, chain and wallet were stolen in the incident at the Mid-Atlantic Boat Club, Devonshire, at 10.45 p.m. on Sunday. He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries but requested Police take no further action.
Also over the weekend, there were five break-ins, 16 road crashes resulting in injury, 17 damage only accidents, six stolen vehicles, six recovered stolen vehicles and four reports of assault.
Driver in hospital after road crash
A Pembroke man is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit after being involved in a crash on Palmetto Road, Devonshire early on Sunday Morning.
Police said the 31-year-old man appeared to have lost control of his vehicle.
He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was treated for head and abdomen injuries. Any witnesses to this collision are asked to contact Police on 295-0011.
Man injured while taking short cut
Attempting to take a short cut home near Victor Scott Primary landed a man in hospital over the weekend.
Police said the man making his way home on Saturday night, though a narrow embankment above the school, when he lost his footing and fell approximately two feet onto the roof of the school.
A family member heard him cry out and came to his rescue. He was treated for abdominal injuries.
