A robber punched a man in the face and stole his cash and BlackBerry cell phone in the early hours of yesterday.

Police were called to the scene on Dundonald Street, Pembroke, at 1.30 a.m.

The victim, a 59-year-old man from Pembroke, reported that he was walking along the street when an unknown man, who had been sitting on a motorbike, launched the attack.

The victim sustained a cut and swelling to his right eye.

The suspect is described as a black male of thick build, approximately 5'10" tall. According to the Police, there may have also been a female of Asian descent sitting on the motorcycle during the incident.
