A Police spokesman described how officers responded to a 911 call from Middle Town Drive, Pembroke shortly after 7 p.m.

They found a 29-year-old Pembroke man bleeding from wounds to the head who told them he had been attacked by a group of males, one of whom had struck him in the face with a baseball bat.

According to the complainant, he managed to escape into a nearby residence after receiving lacerations and bruising to his face.
