The victim said he was walking on Church Street near the Washington Mall at 9.15 p.m. on Wednesday when he realised a group of four youths was following him.

He said he ran away, but one of the youths caught up with him and pressed a stun gun against his arm, giving him an electric shock.

Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Wilcox reminded members of the public that stun guns were prohibited.

Police were also looking into an attack on a 43-year-old Warwick man outside Crockwell's Restaurant on Court Street.

The man said another man approached him and said something that he did not hear. Then the stranger sliced his arm with a sharp knife, leaving an eight-inch cut.
