Three hospitalised as disputes turn ugly

In the first incident, a group of men reportedly attacked a pair of friends around midnight at a Clearwater Beach concert in St. George's on Saturday night.

According to Police reports, a 29-year-old Southampton man was set upon in a parking lot and stabbed in his abdomen.

He was later detained in a general ward at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

And a 35-year-old Devonshire man received stitches for wounds on his left cheek and right hand.

A Cuban links chain was also stolen from one of the victims.

The attack allegedly stemmed from a long-standing dispute between the two sides.

In a separate incident, Police yesterday arrested a 33-year-old Pembroke man who allegedly stabbed an acquaintance in the neck and hand. The assailant reportedly attacked his 39-year-old victim over a weeks-old unresolved dispute.

Police later arrested the alleged attacker in his home and he is scheduled to appear in Magistrates' Court today.
