attack at his Cherry Lane, Warwick residence early yesterday morning.

The male complainant said a man knocked on his door, and pushed his way in after he opened it. The intruder demanded cash and when refused, demanded the victim's wallet.

A fight ensued and the victim was attacked with a screwdriver.

During the scuffle, the suspect grabbed the wallet, and removed a quantity of cash and other personal items before escaping.

Police also reported that cash and jewellery were stolen from a house on My Lord's Bay Road in Hamilton on Tuesday.

A male complainant said he left home around 9 a.m. and when other family members returned home later that afternoon, they discovered the break-in.

Thieves also stole a Christmas tree from the Heron Bay Market Place car park on Tuesday.

The complainant called Police after the two youths riding a motorcycle approached the trees and the passenger reached out and grabbed one of them.
