A senior was robbed of $400 when he was attacked leaving St. George's Cricket Club.

The 70-year-old was jumped from behind as he walked to his car in the parking lot.

Police said the St. George's man was struck in the back of the head and knocked to the ground before the cash was stolen.

The victim, who had been socialising at the club before Monday's 9.30 p.m. attack, was treated at hospital for cuts to the back of his head.
