Reggie Lambe has committed his immediate future to Stowmarket Town after agreeing new terms for next season.

The Bermuda forward joined the club in December of last year, having been released in the summer by Sky Bet League Two outfit Cambridge United, and made an immediate impact by scoring in successive rounds of the Buildbase FA Vase in victories against Eynesbury Rovers and Norwich CBS.

However, the club’s progress last season was halted as the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division was declared null and void for a second straight campaign.

Despite the setback, the 30-year-old has agreed to stay on for next season, which will see the club playing Step 4 football for the first time in their history next term after being granted promotion.

“Reggie settled in straight into the squad and it feels like he’s been around longer than he has,” Stowmarket manager Paul Musgrove told Suffolk News.

“He’s a great lad to have around, as he offers a lot of advice to others, and his quality is second to none.

“He showed his quality in the two games he played last season, and we are all excited to see him again in the coming season.”

Having been the runaway leaders in the Thurlow Nunn League before the season was scrapped again, Stowmarket were handed the opportunity to apply for promotion, with the club’s proposal ultimately being accepted after being deemed to have secured enough points during those two abandoned seasons.
