Premier congratulates couple on their 69th anniversary

Premier Michael Dunkley has congratulated Cedric and Cornelia Tweed on their 69 years of marriage.

Mr Dunkley presented the couple, who are 89 and 87-years-old respectively, with a flower arrangement.

The Premier said: “It was a pleasure to spend time with this truly golden couple who are wonderful together and who have been blessed with such a long and happy union.”

Mr Tweed is a retired Bermuda Regiment Colour Sergeant, who was previously honoured with the Queen’s Certificate and Badge of Honour for 52 years of military service.

Earlier this week, the Premier, the Hon. Michael Dunkley visited with Mr. and Mrs. Cedric (Cornelia þÄúNellþÄù) Tweed who celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on 6th September. Premier Dunkley presented 89-year-old Mr. Tweed and 87-year-old Mrs. Tweed with an arrangement of flowers for the occasion.
