Albert Allen, of Parsons Road, pleaded guilty to the charge in Magistrates' Court.

Police Prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said Police noticed Allen and another man huddled together in what looked like a drug transaction outside of the Young Men's Social Club at Angle Street on April 22.

Police pulled up to Allen and searched him under the Misuse of Drugs Act, Sgt.

Dale said.

Police forced Allen's right hand open and found three brown paper twist.

Sgt. Dale said two of the brown twists contained rock like substances which tested negative for drug content.

But the third twist contained a powder which was identified as diamorphine with a 33-percent purity.

In other court news yesterday: A 19-year-old Warwick man was fined $250 for driving without due care.

Vincent Darrell, of Hill View Road, pleaded guilty to the charge in Magistrates' Court.

Police prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said Darrell lost control of his car as he was driving around a bend on Happy Valley Road in Pembroke.

The road was wet and littered with debris, Sgt. Dale added.

Darrell slammed on his brakes and the car slid across the road and hit a railing damaging the cement fixtures. But he was not injured.

A 40-year-old Warwick woman, caught speeding at 63 kph, was fined $350 and banned from driving cars for six months.

Debra Darrell, of Khyber Heights Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to the charge.

Darrell told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis: "I had turned on the air-conditioner,'' she said. "When I noticed the speed I put on the brakes but it was too late.''
