Man hurt in collision

A road accident on North Shore Road on Thursday afternoon sent a 72-year-old man to hospital.The Smith's parish resident was crossing the road near Tamarisk Hill when he was hit by a motorcycle.The pedestrian suffered lacerations to his leg and abrasions to his head, hands and back. The biker, a 26-year-old from Devonshire, suffered abrasions to his left hand, face and lower body.

The Smith's parish resident was crossing the road near Tamarisk Hill when he was hit by a motorcycle.

The pedestrian suffered lacerations to his leg and abrasions to his head, hands and back. The biker, a 26-year-old from Devonshire, suffered abrasions to his left hand, face and lower body.

Bottle thrown at bus

A bus had one of its windows shattered by a bottle thrown as it travelled along North Shore on Thursday afternoon.

The bus, which was headed east in the Clayton area of North Shore Road, had approximately 25 students on board at the time of the incident. A 14-year-old St George's girl received a cut to her left cheek as a result.

A 16-year-old youth from St George's has been arrested in connection with the incident.
