Brown to speak at luncheon

chairman and CEO of Price Waterhouse Canada, will be guest speaker at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda's (ICAB) convocation luncheon, ICAB said.

Bob Brown, one of Canada's foremost advisors on the business economy and taxation, will speak at the Thursday luncheon which honours the latest group of successful Uniform Final Exam candidates. The event starts at 12:30 p.m. in the Adam Lounge at the Hamilton Princess.

Mr. Brown is the longest serving of Price Waterhouse's 4,000 active partners worldwide.

At age 31, only six years after qualifying as Chartered Accountant, he became the youngest partner ever at Price Waterhouse. Two years later, he became the firm's senior, and youngest, tax partner. His career with the firm spans over 30 years.

During those years, he was on the firm's executive committee, now its policy board, for 21 consecutive years.

His counselling is regularly sought by Canada's largest corporations and government.
