Breaking News: Second body found in St. David's
A second body has been discovered near the scene of a fatal fire in which a homeless man died.
The body of a middle-aged man was this morning found floating in the waters of Great Bay, St. David’s, behind the Black Horse Tavern. The man has not yet been identified, but is believed to be local to the area.
A couple reported the body to Police at 8.20 a.m. – two days after the remains of a homeless man were found in a hut near the restaurant which caught fire early Saturday morning.
It is thought the fire victim is Maxwell Brangman, 57, and the Bermuda Police Service has launched a joint investigation with the Bermuda Fire Service.
A post-mortem examination of the second body is expected to take place later today.
A Police spokesman said: “No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified and of course, foul play has not been ruled out.
“It is too early to make any sort of speculation as to whether these deaths are connected but a full investigation is being carried out.”
