Arch Insurance International has promoted Kirsten Valder to chief administrative officer and Jason Kittinger to chief operating officer.

The company said the promotions are effective June 30.

In these roles, Arch said Ms Valder’s remit will span claims, legal, human resources, compliance and risk while Mr Kittinger will oversee the areas of finance, operations, facilities and procurement.

The company said Mr Kittinger will continue in his current role as chief financial officer.

Ms Valder held the position of chief claims officer since 2015 and prior to joining the company was a partner at Kennedys Law LLP.

Arch said Mr Kittinger is a highly experienced chief financial officer who joined Arch in 2006.

The company said the promotions form part of Arch’s long-term succession planning.

Dennis Brand, current chief operating officer at Arch, will be stepping back from the position but will remain with the company in an advisory role.

He joined Arch 17 years ago and has more than 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
