Tickets for a concert by R&B superstar Mary J Blige and Grammy Award-winning Robin Thicke go on sale on Saturday, priced from $105 upwards.

On-the-spot auditions will also be held to find talented local singers to open the event for the singing legends.

Local production company T.O.C. Entertainment and its Atlanta-based partner SLaP are hosting the concert at the National Stadium on August 14.

A press release from T.O.C yesterday revealed that the tickets will be available from 10 a.m until 6 p.m at the BAA (Bermuda Athletic Association) gymnasium in Woodlands Road.

"The day will be filled with fun and excitement with giveaways, trivia, contests, food and drinks. A live DJ will be entertaining the crowds with hot music. In addition, T.O.C. Entertainment will be giving away two free tickets; one to Mary J's biggest fan and one to Robin's biggest fan," said the statement.

The winner will be announced on Monday May 25.

The statement added that the concert organisers are also looking for the most talented singers on the island to open-up for Mary J. Blige and Robin Thicke.

"Come out on Saturday and get ready to sing one of Mary J. or Robin's songs and you will have the chance to be one of the two opening acts for these award-winning super-stars," it explained.

"Not only will you have a chance to be a part of their show, you also have a chance to privately meet Mary J. Blige and Robin Thicke."

Those wishing to purchase tickets on-line can log onto www.bdatix.bm, but BAA is the only physical location where the tickets will be sold. They can also be bought by phone by calling 232-2255 locally or the international toll free number 1-800-30908497. A $3.00 service charge will be applied to all tickets purchased over the phone.
