Michael Sims? Canadian PGA Tour debut got off to a rocky start yesterday after he fired a two-over par 72 to tie for 92nd place at the Barton Creek Classic in Austin, Texas.

The Bermuda Open champion is nine shots off the lead, which is currently being held by American Craig Kanada on seven-under par.

With only the top 60 finishers after two rounds going through to the weekend in the $100,000 season opener, Sims will have to put together something special today if he is to progress.

His second round is scheduled to begin at 10.33 a.m Bermuda time.
