The Bermuda National Library will be closed until Thursday so that staff can be fully trained in how to use a new computer system that will allow users to search for adult and youth books in a combined search engine.

Both the adult and youth libraries will be closed to the public today and tomorrow for this purpose, although the Audit Library will continue to operate for phone enquiries only.

The new computer system will eventually provide access to the library?s combined online catalogue for adult and youth material through the Internet.

In a statement the Bermuda National Library said it apologised for any inconvenience during the two-day closure and it wanted to ?thank the public in advance for their patience and co-operation over the next few weeks as the new computer system is being implemented.?
