Dear Sir,

It’s six am and I’m stumbling around in the dark looking for a light as we are now enjoying Summer Time in the middle of winter! Not the smartest idea to come along for a while. What’s with this in the first place? Certainly if conserving electricity, is one option then that’s certainly out-the-window, this now raises the Belco bill! At 32° North and early March with a stand-alone power system that is not part of some large national grid, this is an expensive exercise. Instead of copycatting the US, let’s get ‘local’ and go to Summer Time at the Beginning Of Summer!

Here’s a thought: new Bermuda Summer Time is at 2am on the closest Sunday before Bermuda Day, May 24th.
