Dear Sir,

Quite often people believe that if they have determination and perseverance they will be successful. While this is true in my life to some extent, it would not be true if I apply myself incorrectly; positive results come from positive lifestyle. Firstly, I try not to hide behind my short comings and blame my failures on something or someone else.

Recently our finance Minister, ET (Bob) Richards, has shown that he with others are the captains of Bermuda’s ship; with a budget that has the potential if all or most of us accept that. We as Bermudians own a 20 year mortgage and we are in need of three new hotels to boost our economy. As we have no gold, silver or money machine to print ourselves out of our financial situation, our Finance Minister has given us an excellent budget so we can regain and become Captains of our beautiful ship again.
