What a tangled web we weave

Dear Sir,
Early this week the Hon. David Burt made a very serious allegation against the Premier, that the Premier offered him a bribe in return for support of canceling the gaming referendum. My question is, why would the Premier need Mr. Burt’s support for canceling the gambling referendum? This wasn’t an issue that MPs would be voting on and there is no other logical reason for the Premier to seek his “support”.
I can only hope that the Hon. David Burt hasn’t mistaken “parliamentary privilege” for a license to make deceiving statements.
Sincerely,
Kent Smith
