Anyone would you think you wanted tape released
February 19, 2014
Dear Sir,
Your editorial on Wednesday February 19 is very disturbing. You seem to encourage exactly what you object to.
It seemed very much like you were secretly hoping that the Premier would, in fact, engage in the gutter politics of Marc Bean and David Burt and that Nandi Davis would make the tape public. What ? Do you think that will sell more papers ?
The Premier has already responded to both Bean and Burt. Never happened.
And he’s also said that other than filthy conversation, the tape is not worthy of public view.
Cannonier is not perfect and frankly, some things that he does make this OBA supporter (me) cringe but if you think he would be wise to continue to allow these unprovable and hearsay comments to continue and you think this would be for the betterment of Bermuda then I think you need to review your thought process.
I support the OBA. I will support any Party over the PLP based on the performance since they were established in 1963 and specifically over the past 14 years.
As far as I can see they did nothing but ruin this country and they now have nothing positive or constructive to say.
But the love of power and greed is great and all they have in their bag is slander, lies and destructiveness. No, the OBA isn’t perfect by any stretch but if I wanted to keep the job I have, the income I have , the rents that I have and, frankly, any decent lifestyle on this island in the future ...I’d sure as hell be more inclined to follow the likes of Grant Gibbons, Michael Dunkley, Bob Richards and Mike Fahy than Bean, Burt, Furbert and Roban.
Sincerely
