Project Action: Cup Match attendees gave generously
Charity Project Action broke the $1,000 mark in donations over the Cup Match holiday, thanks in part to St George’s Cricket Club, which allowed volunteers to collect on the premises. The group, which runs free transportation for seniors and the physically challenged, hopes the collection can became an annual event after reaping $1,196 over two days of cricket.Chairperson Cindy Swan thanked those who donated funds, “the stellar volunteers that gave up their holiday hours” and St George’s club president Neil Paynter.
