Your Island really is a jewel.
June 15, 2013Dear Sir,All too often these days people are compelled to put pen to paper to complain about something. However, I am writing to you today to express our thanks to Bermuda and its people for making our recent holiday the best we have ever had. Our daughter has lived and worked in Bermuda for three years now and my husband and I have just returned to the UK from a ten day visit to your beautiful Island. My colleagues at work have been keen to know what it was like and did we have a good time. I have struggled to find the words that would describe our experiences adequately. It is the most amazing place we have been to and its people are so polite and friendly. Everywhere we went we were greeted as though we had known each other for years. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived in time for Bermuda Day and watched the procession from the balcony of the Red restaurant. We enjoyed the whole thing very much indeed. Everyone had clearly worked very hard to make it a day to remember. The atmosphere was most uplifting and a good start to our holiday. Our daughter had arranged visits to almost everything and everywhere and there was nothing we didn’t like. The whole experience has left us in awe. I can honestly say that if I was told we wouldn’t be able to return to the UK I would quite happily have stayed forever, we felt that much at home. Getting back on the plane was very difficult. The houses are enchanting with their candy colours and white roofs that look like frosting. The scenery and beaches are amazing and the water crystal clear. It really is a jewel in the Atlantic and we were impressed by all the work and research being done to keep it that way. The only negative thing about it was the amount of glass on the beaches. Perhaps something could be done to ease this problem?SALLY BEEDIEUK
