December 18, 2012Dear Sir:I am so grateful to be writing to thank and applaud Premier Craig Cannonier for his wonderful acceptance speech, but in particular for the following sentiments that reached across the miles between many of us, “and to the many Bermudians living abroad who left for a job, or who fled intolerance I want to send a simple message: come back”. Thank you sir. Since leaving Bermuda in 1978 he is the first government leader to ever reach out to many of us who left for those two reasons and his insertion of that message to his speech spoke volumes to me and, I am sure, many Bermudians living abroad and it means more than he may ever know. It may be too little too late for some of us, but I am hopeful that many who left may well wish to come home and work alongside he and the One Bermuda Alliance to save our country as only we can.
