Disillusioned
November 16, 2012Dear Sir,I am a registered voter in Wayne Furbert and Donte Hunt’s constituency. While this is certainly one of the areas that is difficult to predict a win, I am certain that it exemplifies exactly why people generally dislike politicians and have become disillusioned with politics in general. In the previous election Mr Furbert visited my home where he spoke down on the Progressive Labour Party in an attempt to convince my family to vote for him. To this end he was successful (also because I never saw Mr Clarke for the PLP). However, he now has to come to the same house to convince the same people of the exact opposite. How can we truly believe that he will represent our best interests when he has shown a lack of consistency within himself? That is, how can you have confidence in someone who is comfortable at switching ideologies with a walk across the floor?REGISTERED VOTERHamilton Parish
