A ‘must see’ for tourists
Bermuda is being featured as a ‘must see’ destination in ten tourism videos created by Emmy Award-winning lifestyle travel journalist Karen Schaler.According to a tourism spokesman, the video “gives travellers an overview” of Bermuda as a destination “including tips on where to stay, what to eat and what to do” while on the Island.The videos were filmed during a recent seven-day trip to Bermuda by Ms Schaler, hosted by the Department of Tourism.In addition to airing on her own website and YouTube, the videos will air in syndication by way of AOL on “top travel websites” such as HuffintonPost.com.Venues featured include Rosewood Tucker’s Point and Elbow Beach, in addition to segments on Bermuda’s best beaches, the culinary scene, golf, and other attractions.Describing Ms Schaler as “one of the most knowledgeable travel professionals in her field, Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert said: “Her work and syndication in top-tier North American outlets will provide exposure for Bermuda.”Aside from her regular contribution to major media outlets, Ms Schaler authored a book entitled “Travel Therapy — Where Do You Need to Go”, a travel guide to more than 100 destinations around the world.The Bermuda videos can be seen on her website at www.traveltherapytrips.com, and other websites.
