Just over a month after a car crashed through a fence and toppled over an embankment on North Shore near Palmetto Road in Pembroke, the vehicle remains lodged near the waterside. The accident happened at 2.30am on April 29. The driver, a 60-year-old St George’s man, was admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in serious condition. Efforts to secure an update on his condition last night were unsuccessful, although a police spokesman confirmed that he was still in hospital. The spokesman however, could not say just who was responsible for moving the vehicle. The car landed on the shoreline below the embankment. The driver had to be extricated from the “extensively damaged vehicle before being hoisted to an awaiting ambulance”.
