Axis Capital Holdings Ltd has announced that Bruno Krenboeck has joined Axis Re as marketing director for Latin America.Axis Re has established a significant marketing position in the Latin American credit and bond markets over the past few years and is now focused on extending its property and casualty capabilities.Karl Mayr, chairman of AXIS Re, said: “The appointment of Bruno Krenboeck demonstrates our commitment to the Latin American market. Through his industry stature and exceptional track record Bruno is well-suited to successfully lead our marketing activities in this important region. We are extremely pleased to have him in our organisation.”Mr Krenboeck has more than 17 years experience in the international insurance industry with specific expertise in marketing and underwriting businesses in Latin America. He most recently served as a director at Swiss Re.In his new role at AXIS, he will be based in the company’s Zurich office, which now replaces Bermuda as the centre of Latin American operations for Axis Re. Axis Re’s Caribbean operations will continue to be run from Bermuda.
