A 32-year-old man is today in hospital after he was found lying injured at the bottom of a stairway at Captain’s Lounge.Police and first responders were called to the Reid Street bar around 12.25am yesterday.Said a Police spokesman: “Details about what occurred are unclear at this time however a 32-year-old man was found injured at the bottom of the stairs. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was in the Intensive Care Unit.”The accident remains under police investigation, the spokesman added.Witnesses are asked to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
