A 23-year-old cruise ship worker was charged in Magistrates’ Court of conspiring to import cannabis.Veendam employeeDhimas Pradiptar denied conspiring with others to smuggle the drugs into the Island, between August 16 and an unknown date.The Indonesian national also pleaded not guilty to possessing cannabis with intent to supply on August 16 in Pembroke.Crown counsel Takiyah Burgess said Mr Pradiptar is believed to have been carrying just over 340 grams of the drug.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Mr Pradiptar on $15,000 bail and one surety, and set a trial date for November 17.
