They didn't discuss it
July 4, 2011Dear Sir,The Park Hyatt want the residents to buy into their modern state of the art development. How can this happen when they just force their way into a Woodland Reserve-Residential Area – they make it an industrial site in the middle of what has been a quiet residential area for the last 100 years. They do not discuss, they do not explain. They just automatically think we really want this resort so bad that we will give up our quality of life.Well they are wrong. We do not want this to happen! If you are a good corporate citizen, you look after the folks that live in the area and make them part of the this long, everlasting development. If you do not say anything, and then expect the residents to be happy,I can tell you that the residents are angry and then the hotel and the guest will not be viewed as an asset to our community but as a hindrance and are viewed as an unpleasant experience. If the developers think they are getting 128 acres and that they can put their utility zone on our back door in a small area that will be totally crammed – they are crazy! We are asking the development, the government and the town of St. George to get real and to find a place that is going to be right for the whole area of St George. This is something for the future, not a quick fix for the hotel development!A ST GEORGE’S BYE
