May 30, 2011Dear Sir,When Bank of Bermuda sold itself to HSBC Bank, it said nothing would change. As we all know now, there have been many changes including the austere building front on Front Street. Looking at it on ground level it could be a hospital, an office, a train station, or a bank in a city anywhere in the world.Having promised to keep this space Bermudified it would be a great improvement and a nice gesture to hang flowering baskets from the centres of the archways in front of the building like so many other Bermuda shops and offices do. (i.e. 129 Front Street by Supermart does a beautiful job!) Speaking of which; Supermart: any possibility of beautifying the area in front of your store. Potted plants, tables and chairs, hanging plants? Anything would make it look less slumlike.BEAUTIFY FRONT STREETPaget
