PartnerRe Ltd has raised $373.75 million on the capital markets after completing a sale of 14.95 million preference shares.The Bermuda reinsurer, which recorded more than $1 billion in catastrophe losses in the first quarter, said yesterday that the sale included 1.95 million shares purchased by the underwriters who opted to take the over-allotment option.The Series E Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Shares have a coupon of 7.25 percent.The shares, which have a liquidation preference of $25 per share, are expected to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “PRE PrE”.
