Police car and cyclist collide
A police car and a motorcycle collided on South Road in Devonshire yesterday morning.No one was injured, according to a police spokesman, but both vehicles were damaged: the bike extensively so and the car moderately.The crash happened just after 10am near Tee Street and traffic was diverted from the scene for about an hour.The spokesman said: “It appears that both vehicles were traveling along South Road when they collided; however, neither the officer driving the police car or the motorcyclist, a 25-year-old Paget man, was injured. Inquiries into this incident are under way.”Over the weekend, police arrested six motorists on suspicion of impaired driving and 27 people for outstanding warrants. Officers carried out 17 liquor licence checks at various licensed premises.ends
