Noisy teens on bus

Noisy teens on busMay 19, 2011Dear Sir,For the last week and an half, I have been taking the Number One bus from Hamilton to St George’s, leaving town at 4.15 in the afternoon. On this bus, there are six school-age teens, boys and girls. They usually sit at the very back seat of the bus. While on this bus we have men, women, our seniors, children, and most important, our tourists. While on this ride, not only do we hear unpleasant words “shut up, stupid, dumb” but the loudness of these school teens along with filthy conversations coming from them. It’s very disrespectful, they act like they own the bus. We the people could only look at each other in disbelief. What upsets me the most is on every one of those days, not one bus driver even bothered to say anything to these teens.Parents, if you know that your child is on this bus route #1 to St George’s leaving town at 4.15. you need to act. The first lot get off on the bottom of Collectors hill, and the next one at the hill. The rest get off at the first stop at the hill after Spittal Pond.As a concerned parent myself, please sit them down and talk about respect. We are all tired on that bus and that is our quiet time after a hard day at work.TIRED OF THE NOISESmith’s
